photo(WJBK) - Two people were killed in a multi-vehicle crash Saturday morning along Interstate 75 in Detroit. In total, five cars and 10 people were involved in the accident.

Police suspect road rage caused the crash.

Around 11 a.m., police say a 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee was traveling in the left lane and, for some reason, entered the center lane and struck a 2011 Ford Edge. The impact caused both drivers to lost control and strike multiple other vehicles.

The Jeep spun out and rolled over. Two passengers in the Jeep were killed in the crash, 22-year-old Shelby Seyburn from Commerce and 23-year-old Sydney Zaleski of White Lake.

"They say it was road rage and they're looking for somebody who, my understanding is, somebody hit them from behind, " says Shelly Hurwitz, a friend of the family. You can hear more from loved ones of the victims in the video player above.

The crash closed the freeway for hours Saturday morning. Seyburn and Zaleski were riding in the Jeep with four other friends, and were headed downtown for the day. The other friends in the Jeep were uninjured.

The Jeep struck the Ford Edge, which then hit a 1999 Ford Van, which then caused a chain reaction. A 2015 GMC Terrain also spun out and rolled over. A 2017 Chevrolet Equinox was also hit, but police aren't sure which vehicle hit it yet.

Ten different people were taken to local hospitals with injuries varying from non-life threatening to serious.

The exact cause of the crash has not been determined and is still under investigation pending autopsy results, vehicle inspections, and evidence possessing and interviews.
